I also signed, but I did not like the signup software. It did not feel serious and more like a trap to make money somehow. Got so much "opportunities" for other stuff. When I was read i did not really understand if I was ready, like some step was missing. But, it seems I was ready. I think?
Nope, the shutdown thread is not dead. The queue for being moderated is very slow though. Their choice to moderate it is probably wise, but it has a cost in man-power needs.
I signed, but I think realistically the best hope i that they archive as read-only so we can still reference it.
This is my experience as well. I have found PF to be mostly a private club for a handful regular posters, and haven't found much opportunity for dialogue there. And I like browsing other forums here, just to sample the Zeitgeist of the photographic world.Nowhere really. I have an PentaxForums account. But I do not find it hangaround-friendly. The DPReview forum browser is just so much better. And, that there are all other brands at DPReview makes it so much more useful.So where else do you hang out? Need that source of credible info!

Agreed. Also, businesses don't change course of action from letters unless they are drafted by an attorney.
