me by now, besides, I don't want to confuse folks. It doesn't really make any difference. Maybe I should just change our name to "Really Stupid Rascals" Cheers, Gene

My Parrot's name is Gospel:

I named him Gospel, because I planned to take him to Children's church to help entertain the kids. He did enjoy his few visits to kids church. He actually liked the noise. :)

So, I used Gospel as my IRC nickname. There was someone esle who wold try to use Gospel and went to some not so good channels. :( I also use it on other forums. Execpt for one mailing list when I am known as Tex, I always use my real first name to give folks to the option of calling me Steven or Gospel.

Later,
Steven

Well I just went to the mailbox and guess what? The book is in, so things might improve soon, maybe I'll find some compromise in between the two pictures.

I only have one brother and he'is 47, seven years older then me, and I don't think starting a familly is in is plans.

Steven
PS I'm not even an uncle at all :)
Tell your sister (or brother) that it's time to get busy! ;)

It started in junior high school and stuck with me.. With photography, I figure it's ok to use in that it is actually my name.. mark hall.... (last name first).. so far I havn't had any gripes from the hallmark company, but I suppose it's inevitable.. although I've never sold anything with the name affixed to it..

take care.. and good shooting.. hallmark
Theresa K is pretty obvious, it's short for Theresa Kelly, I
figured using my 'real' name made it easy for people to remember
me. It seems to have worked! I also use the same name on pbase
and smugmug.

Tyree was spocks mother wasn't it? No,,, I guess it was Kirk's friend in the episode that had the big white goofy looking things, one of which bit kirk and almost killed him.. a mugatoo or something like that.. Anyhow, the name was from one episode somewhere.. my trek trivia is fading with age..

oh well.. good shooting..

Mononcle, what does it mean?

Mononcle should really be 'mon oncle' which means 'my uncle' in
French. But in Quebec, people pronounce it as one word, because
it's always 'my uncle', never just 'uncle'. It's so much one word
that when I was a kid, we use to say 'mon mononcle', 'my myuncle,
now that's a bit ridiculous. In France it would be Tonton Jacques.
:)

Why Mononcle Jacques?

My real name is Steven Davis, I’m using the Mononcle Jacques name
because when I started racing online, I wanted others to know I’m
French and from Quebec.

Who is the real Mononcle Jacques?

Mononcle Jacques is well known in Quebec, current F1 racer Jacques
Villeuneuve has an uncle whose name is also Jacques, Gilles’
brother. To differentiate the two, Mononcle Jacques kind of became
his name.

He also had a racing career, he’s had a bad reputation being
jealous of is nephew and of hitting walls, and had a long career
racing ski-doo’s, in which he also had some mean crashes, he still
races ski-doo’s. Actually, he wasn’t that bad and something that
cannot be taken away from him is that he’s the first Canadian
winner of an Indy race.

The real Mononcle Jacques has his own page:

Hey...
I'm a Paramedic too.

CaseSteam came from a new hobby. My husband and I recently purchased a Case Steam traction engine and I registered here about the same time so I guess it was fresh on my mind. It seems that whenever I use my real name - which is Dalene, most people mis-spell it as Darlene so I really didn't want to go there again.
Theresa K is pretty obvious, it's short for Theresa Kelly, I
figured using my 'real' name made it easy for people to remember
me. It seems to have worked! I also use the same name on pbase
and smugmug.
I'm a Paramedic and my number at work is 1210, thus Medic1210. I
try to use it on all the forums I frequent, but sometimes it's
taken and I revert to one of the other names I use, TraumaHawk or
TraumaMedic1210

Back in '94 i was called "Little Mike"... my group of friends knew many Mikes and i was the smallest (5'4" and under 100lbs) well in 2000 that changed to Mighty Mike because i had grown to (6'2" and 200lbs) and its been my nickname ever since.

in this neck of the Pacific, a manapua is meat filled bun that is steamed or baked. In some parts of the world they are also called char siu bau. If one eats enough of them, one's belly begins to look like one. Ummm...manapua.

Mine is simple, apart from matching my photo hosting name, it is the name of John Travolta's character in Get Shorty, one of the best and funniest films I have seen in ages. The name is very unique and I knew I wouldn't have to add numbers after it :D

I remember that pic you posted of the Case steam tractor. That is quite the machine. I wouldn't mind seeing blow by blow restoration pics. It looked pretty sharp as it was. Really points out the difference in the attention to detail and care manufacturers used put into their creations vs todays designs promoting use it for a couple of years and throw it away.

Not very originial but easy to remember. The p is for Patrick ( I prefer Pat ) and my last name Riehn. I have used petepuma in some places, for those who may not know him, he is one of my favorite characters from the Bugs bunny cartoons.

Well you could keep his nickname little mike as a joke... mine was kept that way for a few years after i became big :)

Mike from Canada (a.k.a. Mike)
We have a big Mike and a little Mike. Little Mike, however, is now
14 and about 5'9" and 170 lbs.! He hasn't even hit that high
school growth spurt so I don't think he'll be 'little Mike' much
longer!
