Welcome to the Weekly Image Thread!

This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT). If the thread is nearing full before the next Saturday, I may start a new thread and carry on until it fills or the next Saturday arrives and it is reasonably full in which case I will start another. Confused, so am I! From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Please:

1. Reply to this post and change the TITLE!
2. Please reply to at least one other contribution, your replies encourage posters!!!
3. If asked, please share your processing techniques or technical details.
4. Please show the EXIF if possible. Please identify the lens used regardless of which camera was used to take the image. This helps people form opinions of the lens used with the body to possibly influence future acquisitions.
5. If special lighting was used to create your image stating what was done may help others.

Well you go out to baseball and come back and not only has the thread filled but beyond. Two hours driving to and from baseball, two hours watching paint dry. I can not stand the excitement!

Nice images Harvey. Looks like you have been enjoying yourself and that is always a good thing. Fantastic automobiles!

They all look very nice Craig. I planted two rose bushes two years ago. One died and the other is over grown with weeds so not doing well. It is in a garden we have not gotten to this year as far as weeding and growth control.

Thank you, Andrew. There is a lot of room for improvement. With the Fuji, I need to stop the lens down more to see if that helps with the DoF.

Hopefully, your over-grown bush will prosper with some weeding and a dose of Miracle Gro.

It has been hot here as well Harvey, around the 30 C mark for about six weeks now. Not a lot of rain, but some. A good thing because my lawn and garden tractor was out of action for about three weeks. With cooler temperatures I would have needed a combine to make hay out of the cuttings!

Temperatures here in July and August can reach the 30 s from time to time but generally do not stay there for more than a week. The humidity here is always high in the summer so temperatures in the 80s F and low 90s F suck the life out of you in a hurry.

Out near the water where you are it must be much cooler than here I would expect.

We had temps in the high 80s and low 90s. It's a little cooler at my house where I am close to the lake and have western breezes off the water. Our nights have been cool enough to keep the house comfortable and give it a good start in the morning. Most days it hasn't been too hot inside the house even with with no A/C. I don't like being stuck inside in summer because it's too hot to enjoy being outside.

It's all relative and much worse in other places. We have a little smoke from fires in the eastern part of the state. Summer isn't over. If it isn't any worse than it has been I'll be relieved.

No Andrew is the new cat in the farm cause the others disappeared , so we need a few cat to control the little pest so the snakes don't come close to the house ......kind of working animals....
