Welcome to the Weekly Image Thread!

This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT). If the thread is nearing full before the next Saturday, I may start a new thread and carry on until it fills or the next Saturday arrives and it is reasonably full in which case I will start another. Confused, so am I! From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Please:
  1. Reply to this post and change the TITLE!
  2. Please reply to at least one other contribution, your replies encourage posters!!!
  3. If asked, please share your processing techniques or technical details.
  4. Please show the EXIF if possible. Please identify the lens used regardless of which camera was used to take the image. This helps people form opinions of the lens used with the body to possibly influence future acquisitions.
  5. If special lighting was used to create your image stating what was done may help others.

I have nothing new other than hockey. One of these has been posted before a few times but all were processed from the original files today and posted full size.

I tried to get the hockey images ready last night but had issues with my computer. No idea why but PSP2023 would not open. I tried repeatedly and no success. Today, it worked. I had tried to install a Microsoft update and I think it messed up and hung the system. When I gave up and shut down to go to bed it 'was doing the spinning wheel' update thing before shutting down. I had shut it down several times prior trying to get the software to work. Enough to make one give up on computers!

The rain has stopped and I have grass to mow!

All nice Craig. The opener looks familiar!:-D I plead ignorance, are those bananas or plantain? I don't know the difference between them!

A terrific series, Andrew. I think the first image is the best of the bunch--fantastic colours.

Thanks Craig.

Back in 2007 I did not shoot many flowers and did not do a good job on the ones I did. That year I shot 62 flower images total! The first on here included and there is no doubt it was the best of the bunch.

Thank you, Andrew. I am afraid I have used the colour version for this thread and the mono on the previous one.

I believe they bananas are "sweet bananas". Roy will know the name in Spanish and may want to take the bunch home with him.

I like the bird best, Craig, though the BWL shows it needs a shave. That flower really reaches out for you know what. Bananas, eh? You must fight the urge to swing through the trees to get them. Rich
 
I found out about another great rose garden 20 miles south at Redwood Hospital. These from my first visit there.
