exif data always says release for both s-af and c-af irrespective which is selected, bug in exif data or firmware. Can anyone else please confirm?

From two sources, raw digger and https://www.solentsystems.com/exif3/

Focus, Focus set, exif displays Release, Release, irrespective of any combination, ie focus-release, focus-focus, release-release and c-af/s-af, always?

Should be easy to test. Set the camera for focus priority. then use one of your slower focusing lenses and then focus on something at MFD. Then point to something near infinity and trip the shutter before the camera has achieved focus. If the camera takes the photo before it's focused i'ts in release.

If AF+MF is enabled it defaults to RELEASE priority regardless of how you have it set.

On the Solent Systems one my X-H2 correctly shows one on release and one on focus.

Well well, I never knew that, thank you for confirming, appreciated. For focus it should never default to release imo it should probably grey out af+mf!

Off I guess. I never alter it.

Release priority is logical for any MF mode so it is the only rational setting.

I forgot about that break my camera setting. I tried it once and it was turned off within 5 minutes.
