So has every camera on the marketSurprised to see that after 28 posts you are such an expert. In the past some Nikon cameras have shown issues after they are used in the field for a while.I mean seriously, you've added nothing to the community as a whole, you provided no argument as to WHY someone should wait. Instead you pointed out the very good testing done by Jim, who has shown the Z7 to be a very good camera so far through his tests. You just sound like a troll, over and over posting nothing but negativity regarding the camera. It's ALWAYS wise to suggest people wait a few months when any new product comes out, there's no point in arguing otherwise, especially a first gen product. But to continue to come to this forum and not add anything of substance to the discussion is just....a waste of time.
I have been using Nikon since 1980 ,All I am saying is that people like you, not Nikon users, should wait a while. What is wrong with that? I´ve been here since D1.
So because they have 96 posts they should not dare to have an opposing position to yours?Strange attitude.Memento Mori.

It's OK to discuss what a moderator posts as a regular forum member. It is not OK to discuss the moderation.Time to lock this thread because discussing the moderators is against the rules ;-)
If everyone followed your advice no one would buy the camera. So no one would be using the camera to determine if it was a good product or not. And no one could ever buy the camera because it would never have gone through any good real world shake down.before buying a Z?
This forum is clearly biased and in certain way misleading to new comers.
A saturation of curves and lines have been posted, particularly by Mr. Kasson (Moderator); but as has happened before, the camera itself which has not yet been proved, not curve-tested, might bring not pleasant surprises
Is this a Nikon’s miracle? Maybe, and then, maybe not.
Hold your horses and wait a while; marketing can be our worst enemy.
Methinks more like sour grapes on his part.I mean seriously, you've added nothing to the community as a whole, you provided no argument as to WHY someone should wait. Very surprised at you Mike, very. You have been around for so long: this is not directed to you.If everyone followed your advice no one would buy the camera. Cautious people do wait a few months before they buy. They don’t need you to tell them. The rest of us are first adopters and we know it and we know the risks. Again, we don’t need you to tell us we’re foolish for buying early.
It appears to be similar in the US - went to a camera store yesterday (Kenmore Camera, online presence as well as local) and the Z7 was out of stock. They were pretty pointed about the demand being strong and shipments were trickling in at a lower rate than orders. The bigger online outfits like B&H don't appear to have stock either. Kenmore had EOS R's available, though, and the same sales guy said demand for it wasn't anything like the Z7. If one is in the market for an EOS R, waiting may get you a better price. or it may not, lol.In the UK they are on back order, and the queue is getting longer.
Nikon apologised just before launch that pre-orders were higher thanpredicatedpredicted - with some waiting time likely.
Whether you should or should not get a Z7 (or Z6 when available) if you order one what are the chances of receiving one within 2 months?
I heard there are serious pre-production issues with the Z10 related to Retinal AF which may push it out to 2025.Would it not be even wiser to wait 2 years for the Z8. Or 4 years for the Z10 I'm positive it'll be an even better camera!
Live and shoot while you can the future is not guaranteed.
Give the guy a break. You know he didn't mean to wait for a different Z model. He was talking about waiting on the Z7.I heard there are serious pre-production issues with the Z10 related to Retinal AF which may push it out to 2025.Would it not be even wiser to wait 2 years for the Z8. The response wasn’t directed to the OP... sorry for the confusion. I’m a proud owner of a Z7 and loving it.Give the guy a break. You know he didn't mean to wait for a different Z model. I doubt anyone was offended, or at least had any reason to be.Regards
