Hi. I'm new to the forum. Thanks for allowing me to join.

Here's my situation: I own a Sony 6000 and just had the shutter and the Flex Printed Circuit Board replaced. Should the shutter count reset to 0 automatically upon replacement? Or does the tech person have to reset it manually? Or maybe the shutter count doesn't ever get reset no matter what the situation. I have no idea. All I know is that my camera's shutter count didn't change after the repair. Thanks for your help.

To check the number of shutter actuations, there is a resource https://shuttertool.com/
Take the last picture before the repair, send it to this resource and write down the number of shutter actuations.
Then do the same with the first picture after the repair.
If after the repair you insert the same memory card into the camera that you used before the repair, it will restore the database and continue numbering the pictures.
But this will not be the number of shutter actuations.
After replacing the shutter, the number of actuations should be reset. Without the intervention of the person who performed the repair.
Or be very small, approximately commensurate with the number of test pictures taken by the technician to check the functionality.

The best way to make sure that the shutter and board have been replaced is to ask to show you the replaced parts.
