The Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 Di III VXD G2 is a standard focal length zoom lens for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras. This second-generation model feature a new optical design, with 17 elements and the use of low-dispersion and aspherical glass. The focus group is driven by a much faster 'VXD' linear motor. The minimum focus distance of the 28-75 G2 is 18cm (7.1") and the max magnification is 0.37x.
The lens is weather-sealed and has a fluorine coating on the front element to repel water and grime. A connector port on the lens barrel allows for firmware updates and feature customizations via Tamron's Lens Utility software.
