I think I may have asked this question before but can't find the answer.
If I set the focus to DMF/M on the switch on the front of the camera, I would expect to be able to manually focus on a bird perch I have set up and not have to think about the point of focus again until I switch the camera off. But that's not what happens with my Mark4. All too often the focus point switches to somewhere else in the frame or if I move the camera so the perch is not dead centre, then the focus point moves when I press the shutter and I have to start again with the focus ring to bring the perch back into focus. What am I not understanding?
