I was wondering how many S2s fuji has produced so far...can somebody recently got the cameras post your serial numbers? mine is 23A03299.

just for fun...;-)

I am not sure this proves much and I would not be keen to release my S/N for public use. I understand the UK's first shipment was only 28

Hi Horng,

I like this, real fun. I'm from Belgium Europe and I don't have an A in my number, so I'm wondering if the A would be for the American market and the other continent will have other characters.

Mine has 23L00212, I must have one of the first that were sold in Belgium.

Mine is a 23A and I live in the States,

Yeah, I think so. From the postings so far we can probably guess that there're about 4000 S2s been delivered to the US, but seems like only several hundreds delivered in Europe. I wonder how many of those are in Asia.

So what's the "L" stands for? Anybody? :D

My S2 arrived at Samy's camera July 19 in California, US. No: 23A00052.

Hmm...were the first 50 released beta versions? I got was first on the list from Ritz - getting the camera that was probably meant for Steve or Phil - and I'm #52

In Australia the letter is L too so I suspect A for NTSC (American) and L for PAL video output. The first batch to Australia is 23L and in the 3000s so Europe in the sub 1000 must have been first by a long way (got mine yesterday :-)
