.... paid my deposit 2 months ago here in the UK and still waiting.
I'll be lucky if I get it before Christmas - there just aren't any
coming through. Can't wait though!!

I agree and feel sorry for you. Here in Belgium they have some in stock in that shop regularly, I bought 2 of them and 4 for friends. Hope that you will have yours very very soon.

I just found out this afternoon about my lens. The repair shop should have it done by the end of next week, and it should cost US$125 or maybe a little less. Went out shooting today and aside from the hole between my 18-35 and my 80-400, had some fun. Hope you're getting to know your new friend also

Thanks very much, I'm very glad with it and maybe the cost of the
repair will be not so high. The previous last time my lens was
damaged and I get it also back, here they ask a fixed price
depending on the lens type for repair. Hope that yours will be
repaired soon for a low price. All the very best.
