CTF Mini Challenge #133 - * Tractors *

Looks like this challenge is going well with lots of cool tractors.

I was in town yesterday and drove past a lot and saw this beauty sitting, waiting for someone to take its picture. Looks fairly old and by the look of the lot where it was sitting it was recently restored which is cool.

Maybe not the best composed nor perfect lighting, but there was no other way of taking the shot as it was jammed against a chain link fence with junk behind it.
And as you can see if anyone is interested it is for sale.

Yes the challenge is going well, perhaps on the slow side but that's okay. :)

Very nice beauty indeed that has been restored for sale.

This looks like an interesting antique-ish tractor/truck combination - interesting so I googled 'Hanomag', learning abit about the German history of these tractors.

This tractor is driving a belt connected to an 80 year old 'hay baler'. I'm no tractor expert but I'm sure it's almost as old if not older and still working perfectly.

400D, ISO200, 10mm, f5.0, 1/160s.

Wow - good find with the tractore, you don't see that kind of 'hay baler' these days anymore.
Nice capture with hard working people.

Cranberry harvest time in the north woods of Wisconsin. This was taken up around Eagle River, WI last weekend during the city's Cranberry fest.

Ok, this was a good challenge for me. I had no tractor photos in any of the shots I have ever taken, so I set out this week to find some tractors, any tractors, to take some pictures of.

So, there is the place I must have passed a thousand times or more on my way to work. It has been there for years and years, and frankly, until this week I had not even given it more than a passing thought. It is called Grand Blanc Tractor Sales and has quite a large yard of old, antique tractors of all shapes, sizes and various states of repair. This morning to was allowed to take a stroll through their lot and I took these... I hope you enjoy.

Very interesting, I didn't know that is how Cranberries are harvested.

The plow is one of the great inventions of mankind. To pull the plow is one of the most important tasks of tractors.
