Thanks to everyone who participated in this challenge. The various interpretations of the theme were amazing, and judging certainly wasn't easy.
First a couple of honorable mentions:
RAYoung's Second thing missing. Just a crazy pic. Wished I could have found a place in the top three for it.

RAYoung's Third thing missing and GeorgeM's George's #1. These are such great illusions.

And on to the top three:
Third place: RAYoung's First thing missing. Emotional image with multiple interpretations of the theme. Even the overcast sky adds to the image.

Second place: Iron Mike's #2 from Mike. Great (and distinct) interpretation of the theme. We've all managed to miss the frame (even when we're not shooting things in motion!)

First place: JWIS206's Korean War Monument. The first image posted, and I knew when I saw it that it would be hard to beat. The original art piece is obviously amazing in what it depicts, and I think the photographic interpretation adds to the impact, which is not always true of photos of sculpture. Wonderful, sad image of something missing.

Congrats and thanks to all, and we await JWIS206's Mini Challenge #540.
