A full review is forthcoming on my blog, but for DPR:

Canon's best DSLR for the money to date. A solid sensor that has the best low light hi/iso performance, solid low iso performance, and no banding in raw files for once (malleable files).

A simpler, well designed, well handling and balanced, well featured, easy to use DSLR with just enough of the good stuff to give you what most need, without pricing most out. Reliable, well built, weather resistant, and humble in appearance. Not too big, not too small, it's Goldilocks's pick if there ever was one.

Want to get into FF and its feature set appeals to you? Stop here, and look no further. Don't pass this camera up.

After evaluating hundreds of cameras from many manufacturers, I'll go on record saying that the 6D is on a very short list, of one of the finest digital cameras ever brought to the market.

Ditto and great for my personal interests IMHO.

I've owned about a dozen DSLRs over 10+ years, and the 6D is probably the best in the category of "easiest to shoot with stellar results". The camera just gets out of your way and delivers great image, no fuss.

I had a 5D3, lost it along with a 16-35 F/2.8 USM II due to an assault this year. Insurance covered it completely. So, currently sharing my wife's G7x which is an extraordinary little camera, I could think about a 6D... Based on this review even more. So my couple of CF cards would remain on hold for a while... Regards and Happy New Year! Peter in Switzerland.

I concur wholeheartedly. Moreover, even though I'd love to see a 6D upgrade that includes an articulating LCD screen, the reasons the OP cited are why it's difficult to imagine Canon has a 6D upgrade in its plans any time soon.

Sure hope you're wrong. I'm waiting for the 6DmII and will then choose between it and the 6D...
How low can you go? You can get the non-wifi version today for <1.000$. By far the best value FF in the market.

I'm hoping we see something 1Q16, but can wait longer. Currently using a T1i, which is a fine crop camera.

Not interested in non-US cameras...

The 6D obliterated my t2i in every way, I think it would be the same for a t1i.

I am on the market for a replacement to my 5D II. I was thinking about a 5DsR but am also tempted by the 6D. What would the 6D give me that the 5D II could not?

Love the 6D, just the right weight and grip. Had many makes of dslr incl FF`s and this camera is a keeper.

No doubt, other than reach on occasion. Point was that I have something to hold me until the 6DmII is released so I can compare with the 6D. Sure hope we see the 6DmII soon though; my last FF was a film camera (Olympus OM, still have it! :) ).

The 6D will give you two things above the 5DII; low light capability and an excellent center focus point.

Wifi and GPS, good for personal interest, for work/business I would go with 5D series, more efficient IMHO.

The 6D is the perfect camera for my needs.
