The Canon EF 300mm F2.8L IS II USM is an updated version of an earlier design, and is designed for use with Canon's full-frame and APS-C DSLRs. Featuring a completely new optical design and lighter weight construction, this weather-sealed lens is built for hard, professional use. Highlights include Sub Wavelength Structure coating on lens elements, plus water-repellant Fluorine coatings on the front and rear elements. Also new is an image stabilization mode which activates stabilization only during exposure, and a 'Power Focus' mode for video shooting. The upgrades are rounded off by the addition of repositionable AF stop buttons and a choice of tripod mounts.
