Canon EOS 6D

Announced Sep 17, 2012 •
20 megapixels | 3 screen | Full frame sensor

My 6D turned 5 years old last month. Tomorrow I'll go to pick up my brand new 5D4, and the 6D will officially retire and be relegated to second body/backup duties, even though I'll still carry it with me abroad just to increase the number of countries where we've been together. When I bought it brand new in 2013 (funnily enough at the same price it has today, due to currency fluctuations and Canon's price increases last year) it replaced a Nikon D7100 that I had never enjoyed using due to a ...

I've had my Canon 6 D for about 2 years, its been a reliable workhorse, I mainly use it with my 70-200 f2.8 L lens for wildlife when the subject is quite close. Because of the excellent Iso it is ideal in early mornings or at sunset to dusk.   Very easy to use straight forward camera. Like someone else said it focuses perfect every time, I agree.  I would have love to have the 5 D  but the Iso on this one at the time was better than the 5d mk3. Iso was very important at that time when ...

This gem used to be my first fullframe DSLR, so although with a 5DMkIV I will never forget this camera. When starting digital Imaging with APS-C or small cameras a ff-cam appears as a real gamechanger. And throughout the almost 4 years I worked with the 6D I was never disappointed with ist IQ or functions. Only the AF System was a bit annoying, with a superb cross-type-sensor in the middle, but unfortunately nothing more. So it was a Kind of ritual to Focus and measure and afterwards ...

I've owned this one around 2 years ago, and i thought i would give it a review. Aside from the basic autofocus, i loved this camera. If you know what you're doing in a controlled environment of outdoors (landscape, portrait), the 6D is still at par with the best newer bodies out there when it comes to image quality. The resell value is good as well, since there's not much going on in the entry full frame bodies category. it's also light, like a mid-range body and the LCD quality is very ...

The Canon EOS 6D is quite a performer in term of image quality and low light performance.  It even outperforms it's bigger brother, the 5D Mark III in several areas:  dynamic range, low noise at high ISO, low light focusing ability where the 5D Mark III would fail and most importantly, better value.  I paid $1100 for the body along with a Canon printer w/photo papers. The only thing negative about the 6D is that it performs poorly, I meant really poor when it comes to sports/action shots.  ...

The 6D is perfect for someone who wants a Full Frame body, while spending half as much as the 5D Mark III. The 6D obviously has less features, and isn't as good as the MkIII, but for the price, the 6D is a great camera for pretty much anything. I've used the 6D since September of 2013 and I haven't had any problems with it, the video it takes is very good, & the photos it takes are also fantastic. The only problem the 6D has is Action photography (Sports, Wildlife, etc.), it has a hard time ...

Got a 6D while I waited for a high MPIX Canon camera to emerge. It now supplements my 5DSR. So far I have taken more than 25.000 shots with it. The short story: At today’s price level the 6D is a wonderful bargain option. Great Full Frame photography with Canon currently does not come cheaper than this. Its short on bells and whistles, but the sensor is simply excellent and not only does the sensor thrive at high iso shooting – the 6D has a fast, accurate and light sensitive centre focus ...

Owned the 6D for a year and loved the wi-fi and fit of the camera.  Easy to use and function and takes tremendous photos.  Well worth looking to buying one new or refurbished.
