The Canon EOS 6D is quite a performer in term of image quality and low light performance.  It even outperforms it's bigger brother, the 5D Mark III in several areas:  dynamic range, low noise at high ISO, low light focusing ability where the 5D Mark III would fail and most importantly, better value.  I paid $1100 for the body along with a Canon printer w/photo papers. The only thing negative about the 6D is that it performs poorly, I meant really poor when it comes to sports/action shots.  ...

The 6D is perfect for someone who wants a Full Frame body, while spending half as much as the 5D Mark III. The 6D obviously has less features, and isn't as good as the MkIII, but for the price, the 6D is a great camera for pretty much anything. I've used the 6D since September of 2013 and I haven't had any problems with it, the video it takes is very good, & the photos it takes are also fantastic. The only problem the 6D has is Action photography (Sports, Wildlife, etc.), it has a hard time ...

Got a 6D while I waited for a high MPIX Canon camera to emerge. It now supplements my 5DSR. So far I have taken more than 25.000 shots with it. The short story: At today’s price level the 6D is a wonderful bargain option. Great Full Frame photography with Canon currently does not come cheaper than this. Its short on bells and whistles, but the sensor is simply excellent and not only does the sensor thrive at high iso shooting – the 6D has a fast, accurate and light sensitive centre focus ...

Owned the 6D for a year and loved the wi-fi and fit of the camera.  Easy to use and function and takes tremendous photos.  Well worth looking to buying one new or refurbished.

A full review is forthcoming on my blog, but for DPR: Canon's best DSLR for the money to date. A solid sensor that has the best low light hi/iso performance, solid low iso performance, and no banding in raw files for once (malleable files). A simpler, well designed, well handling and balanced, well featured, easy to use DSLR with just enough of the good stuff to give you what most need, without pricing most out. Reliable, well built, weather resistant, and humble in appearance. Not too big, ...

I have probably taken 45k pictures in 21 months, at events, portraits, dance, landscapes and astrophotography with some very nice results.  However, while the AF system can lock focus in low light, the general AF system isn't very good, with 11 points, only 1 cross type.   I wish Canon had put more thought into offering a better system, maybe with more cross type sensors. Overall, it is a very nice body with an excellent low light sensor.   The first night I had the camera, I used the Wifi to ...

. I purchased a Canon EOS 6D a couple of weeks ago. I'd wanted to use a Full Frame camera sensor for leisure and personal shots - pets, family events, portraits, astro-photography and macro photography... that sort of thing. I'm not specifically interested in doing professional work with this camera but it's easy to see why so many people do use it professionally. . For a FF sensor, I think it's better value than the EOS 5D III although I would have liked to have seen a 1/8000 second shutter ...

My review is a little different than what a camera expert would say. I am reviewing it from the point of view of a professional photographer with the following categories what I love and what I disappointed . I LOVE; Ability to shoot in low light ( High ISO ) please see my sample taking during an event, overall working of the camera, price in comparison to competitors, abilities and diversity, long life of batteries, diversity, enjoy saving money on smart cards rather than more expensive cf ...
