I've experimented to find the optimal settings to capture my dog playing on the beach. The problem is that she's very fast and is usually running at, away, or past me. I've programmed my latest settings in M1 for fast selection: shutter priority, 1/1250th sec., center single-shot autofocus, continuous shooting, f/5.6 exposure, auto ISO. I want to stop all motion, and I'm not all sure that those are the best settings. I'd welcome any advice.
Nice going Bill, would make a good selection for a Spot the Ball Quiz.

two good one's Mina. That was 6 yrs ago, which of your camera(s) would you take to Alaska now?
I knew you could do it, it's funny what we don't see when we are so familiar with something.OKShe looks to be in great shape, she got pretty high without a board. Why don't you get rid of the white plastic pipe and small blue below her? I know you can.

No holding her back. Did she have a nickname, like 'Leapin Lizzy'?
Very pleasant photo, I viewed the original, lots happening on a beautiful day.
Nice, captures the anticipation and you can imagine the intention of the blue #1. Lot of Porsche's, what speeds do you use for various scenarios when you shoot races?
The strength in the horse's neck, to roll over his head like that is amazing. Glad nothing serious occurred.
I get the feeling they are training for a circus or variety show, and loving the training. Good stuff.yes harvey i also like the golden glow dog shot, i don't think you could get your settings much better than you have them,i also think if you can still get down to the dogs level and then shoot the pictures they always look just that bit better
i guess you could call my sons dogs in motion, exhibition only
