Consumer Reports knows consumer products.
The 7D is a PRO camera, it is NOT a consumer camera. Obviously Consumer Reports doesn't know Professional dSLRs.
The 60D is a better consumer dSLR than the 70D, but, not for the reasons listed.
Because the 7D is a PRO camera it does not have scene modes. It also is very flexible and can be reconfigured in almost an infinite number of ways. Because of this consumers often get the 7D miss configured and don't understand why it is acting like it is acting.
The 7D has a better viewfinder. Both the 7D and 60D can control off camera flashes with their built in flash. The 60D has that tilty swivel LCD, for a consumer dSLR that is probably better.
Honestly, I wish Consumer Reports would have just removed the 7D from consideration.
