What is the tempurature in your end of town?

Wow. Our friends are in Pharr, Texas for about 4 weeks right now. I heard the just bought a winter place down there. A trailer in one of those retired communities more than likely.

I've seen it 115, and that is the worst. Last summer, we didn't have many (if any) days over 100, but that is unusual. 100-105 is pretty common in August. The worst of our summer can often be in September, and it can be hot through the end of October. One unusual year not too long ago, it was in the 90's a few days in January. Being a 5th generation Texan, our summers don't really bother me. But hey, it would be fun to see a few days of snow in the winter. That's rare and when we do have it, the snow seldom lasts more than a day.

It's getting up to 42 degrees Celsius (108 degrees Fahrenheit) in some parts of town here today. Where? Sydney, Australia. ;)

Los Angeles - 87 degrees high for the day.

A very hot 38C or 100.4F here in Perth, W Australia. Tomorrow's forecast 40C. We have only had a couple of days under 30C this month.

Last week high 75f, this week 58f. We don't have much winter in southern Louisiana.

One day I'll learn how to post photos. I am 62 & technically challenged.

Ok, I'm just guessing, I haven't been to Lake Hazen since '63 when I read a minimum thermometer that said -69.8 F! I'm really in Toronto where it's a balmy (compared to Winterpeg anyway!) -14C. Incidentally, several years ago I was in WPG on business during mid Jan. I went for a walk (outside, windchill approx -35C) and found an outdoor ice rink and there were several guys enjoying a great game of shinny - tough hombres those Winnipeggers!

Well if you have a 40D or 50D, (I have the 50D), then I don't know how you manage to turn the camera on if you are wearing gloves, (which you would be at those temperatures). The little on/off switch thing-y is a joke. Where I am it has been up at 36 to 39-deg C, (around 100 deg F), with high humidity, (which makes it rather uncomfortable at the other end of the scale; and that would be in Queensland, Australia.)

At least that was the unofficial reading from some hardy soul last week. Here in Anchorage it was approaching -20f (-31c), but today it was a balmy +36f (+2c). It appears all our cold weather shifted south. Nice change. :)

Freezing rain though.

I can second that. 42.7 Celcius today in the North-West of Sydney.

At the left is the inside temperature (with aircon running) and at the right is the outside temperature. The time is incorrect as I haven't set the time when I put new batteries in a while ago.
