YarcPlus rocks!!

Jack,
...Is the final output limited to the sRGB color space,
as is the case when using the Canon software, or when I open in
Photoshop and assign Adobe RGB do I get something close to that
space?

Jack
We do not affect the color in any way except for what the Canon
software does. We allow you to TAG the files with any color space
that you wish, however. But this does not affect color, it just
tells profile aware applications like Photoshop in what space to
open the file. So this is a convenience issue rather than a pixel
affecting issue.
Although ICM tagging an image in YarcPlus doesn't affect the color, you should be aware that when it is opened in Photoshop, PS may automatically apply the profile depending on how you have your color management set.

I am using YarcPlus 1,71 beta an so far it works fine.
However, using ARF in any mode (Auto, ARF 2 and even more ARF 1)
there is a loss of fine detail if contrast is low in this details.
Sorry not to be able to have pictures as example but I don´t have
an URL.

My camera (1D) is set to standard settings, Color Space Adobe RGB.

Other people with the same problem?

How can I improve it?

weather for picture hunting (was out indeed)
Hallo people

Problem is solved, MichealT from Yarc mailed me and checked picture examples. Solution: the pictures have to bo more sharpened as before, but then they are very very good and shard and awith much less artifacts. Thanks

Thanks for letting everyone know about RawThumbs. This is a very useful utility. It quickly gives me the ability to see shots and some basic info right on the thumbnail (shutter speed & F-stop). And I can get all the details of the shot from the properties tab! This is the single best utility I've seen to proof and review shots before you do any image processing. If you shoot in RAW this is a must have. Phil should post it somewhere so that everyone that has a D30/D60 can find this program without having to search the forums. Thanks again!

I use both YarcPlus and ScottProfessional for different reasons.
If I have a whole directory of files to convert, I'll use
ScottProfessional, but if I have only a few, I'll drag and drop
them to YaccPlus. I also use RawThumbs to see CRW files right in
Windows Explorer. This has to be the single greatest peice of
software I've got the the D30/D60.

I agree. I have both Breezebrowser and Yarc and prefer Yarc but there are a couple of things that would really make it great.

If it was possible to review a batch of photos and set the conditions for each one prior to conversion, and then let the entire batch convert, it would be a real time saver.

In batch mode, shouldn't picture settings be specific to each
image? They don't seem to reset as each image is selected. This
won't work well in my workflow if they can't be switched from image
to image. Beta 1.7
