I haven't studied the new features (just installed it!) but use the previous version of darktable.darktable 2.6 has just been released on xmas with tons of improvements and camera supports. The new Retouch module is so cool.

Yeah, darktable has a pending feature request to make use of a second monitor for comparing before/after:Only PN costs money and I use it mostly because it allows side by side comparison of up to 6 raw photos (with synchronized zooming an panning). This enables me to select the "best" shot out of several. Why do other raw developers miss this?
What is PN? I know about Raw Digger, but can't think what PN stands for.Only PN costs money and I use it mostly because it allows side by side comparison of up to 6 raw photos (with synchronized zooming an panning). Do you mean Geeqie? If so, it is an excellent viewer, as is Gwenview for KDE.Yeah, darktable has a pending feature request to make use of a second monitor for comparing before/after:

I'm using Qeeqie for culling, and it has an option to remember the zoom and position between images, that has been very helpful as I flip back and forth between two images to see the differences right away without moving my eyes.
Yes, the only Geeqie (I definitely should have finished my coffee before replyingsluggy_waerrior wrote:Do you mean Geeqie? Thanks.PN is probably PhotoNinja
Good question for the OP.Silkypix Pro. Still better output than LR or Capture One to my eyes. Although Silkypix is not as fast as its alternatives, it is fast enough for somebody who was used to work in dark room.
BTW I'm curious why Canon user is interested which software do X-Trans people use?
I owned an X-E3 for a short while and whilst I loved shooting with the camera, working with the files led me to sell it. I'm asking as the X-T3 is incredibly tempting and I want to see how people work with X-Trans files and see if I can do the same.BTW I'm curious why Canon user is interested which software do X-Trans people use?
