Welcome to The Weekly Image Thread

This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT) and is open for submissions and discussions about images and processing techniques until the next Saturday, or the new thread is started. If the thread is nearing full before the next Saturday, I may start a new thread and carry on until it fills or the next Saturday arrives and it is reasonably full in which case I will start another. Confused, so am I! From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Please:

  1. Reply to this post and change the TITLE!
  2. Please reply to at least one other contribution, your replies encourage posters!!!
  3. If asked, please share your processing techniques or technical details.
  4. Please show the EXIF if possible. Please identify the lens used regardless of which camera was used to take the image. This helps people form opinions of the lens used with the body to possibly influence future acquisitions.
  5. If special lighting was used to create your image stating what was done may help others.
Thanks for joining and contributing this week.

The first one is special. The roses look almost translucent.

Strange. Have you asked at the place where you had the film processed? The streaks suggest movement to me. I'm thinking if something went wrong while the film went through their machine?

I saw the title and thought it was another home improvement project.

At my house, no one getting seriously hurt is viewed as a success.
It started off as a territorial dispute

and quickly turned nasty.

The noise level went up several decibels and it was on for young and old.

The Noisy Minor referees declared a unanimous points decision to the bird on the left.

The pecking order had been established and they all went their separate ways.

Spectators are allowed there under lockdown I see. The best part of these is your magpie on the fence. A smart bird. Now if it chased pigeons you would be all set.

I've done it. It's a big scary when you are leading a race with a bunch of cars right behind you. In a sports car not too bad. In an open wheels car like this one - very dangerous. You have to be brave or foolish.

A nice set of flowers Dave. Your peony looks a lot like one of the varieties we have. Good to see you actually might get a summer!

It is cool Roy. If you developed this film yourself perhaps the canister has a leak. An other possibility is the foam seals on the camera body. I know the ones on my OM1 and OM2 are toast.

Well the early fish might get a worm (and a hook in the mouth) Chris. Usually a good time to fish and also a good time for images.

Nicely done.

Thanks Rich. As to the U.S. rebellion, I plead ignorance! Well either that or indifference but ....

In 1812 they invaded us in the north but with the help of the natives they were repelled.
