Welcome to The Weekly Image Thread

This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT) and is open for submissions and discussions about images and processing techniques until the next Saturday, or the new thread is started. If the thread is nearing full before the next Saturday, I may start a new thread and carry on until it fills or the next Saturday arrives and it is reasonably full in which case I will start another. Confused, so am I! From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Please:

  1. Reply to this post and change the TITLE!
  2. Please reply to at least one other contribution, your replies encourage posters!!!
  3. If asked, please share your processing techniques or technical details.
  4. Please show the EXIF if possible. Please identify the lens used regardless of which camera was used to take the image. This helps people form opinions of the lens used with the body to possibly influence future acquisitions.
  5. If special lighting was used to create your image stating what was done may help others.
Thanks for joining and contributing this week.

A crisp, colourful and interesting set of images WN. I've always preferred getting out in the early mornings if it's going to be a hot day. It's been in the mid 70's in the last week which is hot for us in the far north.🥵 Woke to the sound of rain this morning but it's still warm.

Dave
Good to see you early in the morning, Dave … Here we've been having great weather, knock wood, 70's in the morning and sometimes even low humidity but by 8am locally it's in the 80's and going up. Soon with July and August in full swing it will start out in the 80's and quickly head up to toward 100F with humidity to match and I find that as I get older I react poorly to heat and would rather be up on a mountain somewhere but …...

Stay cool … in all it's meanings …

Very sharp and beautiful, as always .... It must be nice to live in CA with flowers year around ,,, and I remember all the friendly humming birds buzzing around during that summer in Monterey .. Here I've have 5 flowers that I've photographed from every acceptable angle a dozen or more times and I'm about to share them many times here .. as the heat has gotten to 3 of them as we enter July ....and I'm going to stay with the AC until it dies ,, no malls to sit in these days ....

Stay cool ...

Nice ... I like sitting here watching the flowers grow ...... but I didn't know that you had flowers over there I thought you just grew rocks and Nessies ...

Replica of a highly unusual car. Nicely done. Good engineering and workmanship.

hello all, I shoot this in film kind of like it....but did not know what happened, the whole roll has these streaks, but since this is kind of abstract keep me wonder what was the problem, the curtain keeps open? something in the process of development, ......well hope you like it...

That heron is very calm and poses nicely for you,WhyNot. I always enjoy your walks at he river. The geese are persistent because they want you to pet them. They like their neck scratched. A request for your wife: Please get us some pictures of the swallows attacking WhyNot. :-D Rich

Looks like abstract art. Paintings that look like this have sold for millions. The artist has to be dead. If insane while alive, even better.

Great and funny, Dicky, though they were obviously serious. Your resident magpie would agree with my Dad, who told me, "If something is none of your business, treasure that, and keep it that way." Rich

another example of the streaks......I bet for the process .....what you all think...

Nice set WN…. Like the river shots a lot

I love Peonys. Mine don't bloom every year. When they do they are gigantic.

Wow nice car…. I read a long time ago about this car but never had a private tour to see it…. Wonder what was the base on what they begin this project, I mean a corvette or what….

While watching f1 lately I bet this races are more fun than the latter, hate to say it but all the regulations on the category take all the fun of that…..
