I'm testing tethering directly with lightroom today.

Until now, I've always used the Fuji XAcquire app with an auto import folder in Lightroom. Functionally it works for me because I don't really need settings control from the laptop.

A recent update in Lr makes it possible to tether direct from Lightroom. First experience is good, Thethering is faster as it saves a step and I get live view ( although it pretty low res ) and camera control.

2 issues:

I can adjust the camera settings but can't capture from the laptop, I need to press the shutter on the camera, not a huge problem for me but would be nice to know if there's a simple way to do this.

I can't find a way to save the file on the laptop with the naming I have in the camera. Filename defaults to DSCFxxxx and the numbering starts at 0001 for each session. But it still gets saved on the card with my custom naming prefix and the number suffix continues from the previous numbers.

anyone has found a fix for those, especially #2?

Have you tried the Adobe Forums and/or Adobe support? You are paying for these great services.

I have. There is a thread in there with a few users experiencing the same problem but no solution yet.

I have the same issue. It is not functional. I shouldn't need to press the shutter button itself.
