Steep learning curve = video. Any recommendations for building skills and knowledge

Hi folks, I'm a photographer and have dabbled with Video, but must admit I find it hard.

Less so around framing and putting together footage. More about technical eg settings, editing etc.

I use Lumix cameras and have been editing lightly in Premiere Elements.

I'd like to invest some time in to learning more about the terminology, do's and don'ts etc and am looking at learning DaVinci - seems to have been recommended by many people. Maybe you have a different view

What resources, websites, YouTube, courses, books etc etc would you recommend for me?

TIA
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/training is quite comprehensive and free.

Davinci free is hardware accelerated on Mac. But don't switch over if you don't anticipate to delve into grading or effects.

Don't worry about quality at first, it takes time to get familiar with camera and editing pipeline.

I'd suggest backing up. First thing you need to learn is your camera.

What exposure tools does it give you? Do you understand them? Focus? Does your camera work better in a certain resolution/frame rate? Or is it compromised in others? Some cameras crop at high frame rates. Others the quality of the video is worse.

Your first step is to get well exposed footage in camera. Clipped highlights are gone no matter how good you are in grading.

IBIS can be great but on some cameras you end up with corner wobble.

Also learning basics like panning your tripod head smoothly takes practice you can't fix that in post
