And that's just exactly what I am proposing; a board to talk about full frame cameras, and the associated issues, without sorting through the rest of the dslrs being made by Sony.

This coming from a brand user that has separate forums for different bodies. Actually, I like the way Nikon forums are separated; especially for the lens forum where we all do come together.
+1

Quantity (or lack of) i.e. number of post to support a forum should NOT be an argument. If you're going to use that as a case for no separate FF forum, then you might well argue Konica Minolta SLR Talk Forum is unnecessary too ? (based on posts/week).

Thread titles with camera body inc. do help (with thanks to those considerate people), but wading through all the unmarked stuff (A700-A100 & now SLT), does make using the board harder than it ought to be.

If anything DPR should be trying to assist in creating some sort of harmony, took them FAR too long to deal with the NEX situation. :(

A forum is a business. The number of posts DO matter. - TF
It is the number of page views and unique visitors that matters and the number of adds shown.

If you with fewer posts and a better stucture and overview can have the same number of visitors and external links followed then it should be just fine.

But I don't think the forum should be split.

That's the income side. The expense side includes maintaining the forums - the more forums, the more the mainenance. Probably not real significant with the addition of one forum (though it may be), but if they add a new for every complaint with a few posters, there would be hundreds. = TF

I know it has been addressed before; I still would like to see a full frame board.

Dont quite agree, but almost: Give us a FF forum but include all brands. Now that would be a grat forum!

This is a brilliant idea!!! If people care about FF photograpy and photographs, then brand is not that interesting. Also, for brand related questions we already have our forums!

well ther are differences, and similarities. SLT and some others are not the same.

I think DPR will have to see more than two outdated full frame DSLRs from Sony before they create another special forum for them. Good luck with that, BTW.

I tried to do a quick survey from user gallery photo info. It seems to me that the majority of posters who think there should not be a full frame split are APS-C sensor users.

Why is that?

Sad that there are no cheerleaders for for ASP-C

+1 for splitting the board. It would make finding FF info much easier. I think it would provide a forum that working professionals & advanced shooters might be more inclined to participate in, due to the lack of drama, excessive newbe questions/ threads, and having more in common with the other shooters in the forum.

A FF Sony forum would make sense.
