I believe your quote was "the entire list of Sony lenses was listed..." HEY, its only 2 inches above! So what did I make up?Your are such a fool.. now you have to make stuff up because youI guess if Sony never put out another lens after the camera wasHilarius because the system as it is had even fewer options when theHilarious because sony no longer meets the op's required needs even

it wasn't for that deal breaker. I.S. while nice doesn't freeze

A700 was released.. because the OP wants Sony to start with expensive
lenses before they they have developed the market for them, which
would mean the price would be higher.. which I have no doubt the OP
would then complain about.
The entire list of Sony lenses was listed when he bought his A700 is
has not gotten smaller since then.. yet it is Sony's fault.
That is why it is funny.

I suppose it doesn't tell you anything that the camera is selling for $500? Or will you respond like one of your fellow fan boys here that you never said that? Oh wait, your comment is only 1 inch above. Guess you own it.No, the point is that you are unhappy and wish you had somethingClearly, you too missed the point. Sony released an advanced amateur,
semi pro camera which would lead most purchasers to believe they
would release similar quality lenses in a reasonable time frame.

that. If not me there are probably many others who will jump at the

I guess we can't all be a big man like you moneybags and take that kind of a hit. You say you're so happy and A700 owner, wouldn't a second one be twice as good. I'll make you the same offer, 85% of what I paid.I think you ASSumed too much and now blame Sony... list which lensesClearly, you too missed the point. Sony released an advanced amateur,I just don't understand these kind of pointless posts. Darn, life is
just too short to spend it bellyaching, agonizing, and feeling
miserable when you say yourself that the solution is go get a Nikon
or Canon. Just do it and move on.
There was another guy sometime back posting messages full of angst
that Sony didn't have a Nikon D3. The answer was obvious: get a D3.
I think after weeks or months of complaining he finally did.

they promised when you bought the A700 that you want now? Anything
not promised is an ASSumption by you.
And you document this how? or are you again ASSuming you know stuffNow those of us who purchased the camera believing this, have a nice
camera, without the needed lenses, that can't be sold without taking
a tremendous loss, since its apparent that most of the advance
amateur-semi pro world is avoiding it like the plague.

That is the most pathetic thing I have heard from you yet..isn't a fine camera, obviously it is, so you tell me why?

You really are a victim aren't you? You can't choose a new system
because someone else won't pay for your error in buying the right
camera for your style because you ASSumed there would be a dozen new
lenses coming out in 6 months.... We ain't your mommy its not our job
to kiss your boo boos and make them better..
Be a man sell the camera on Ebay and go be happy.. why would you let
a few dollars keep you from the Canon Utopian Bliss you long for?

I'm sorry, I'm missing your point. Is that all you want to take pictures of?Probably one of the worst reviewed Minolta lenses, the 28-100. Can be
had easily for 20.00 nowadays.
