Was reading the dpreview review of the X-H2S and it mentioned that it had no generic autofocus tracking in video mode. That is, in tracking autofocus mode (but with subject detection turned off) you can't track what's under the autofocus box.

With the X-T5 I can do this - just press the joystick and it will track whatever is under the autofocus box when you press it. I use it all the time.

Is this really the case, the X-T5 does this but not the H2S?

the H2S got this in a firmware update a while ago (can't remember when)

Ah, perfect. Likely the X-T5 didn't have it either when it first came out and also gained it in a firmware update. Thanks.

Another question about the H2S: Can you set the storage option for videos only to the CF card and photos only to the SD card?

You can. In the Video settings tab, choose slot 1 under media rec settings. In the Wrench settings, choose save data set up > card slot setting > sequential and select slot (sequential) > 2

If the card in slot 2 fills then both stills and videos will go to slot 1 - but that is probably a good thing.

Videos can be restricted to slot 1 or roll over to slot 2 if it fills.
