I had my 707 back from Sony Service. (Finally sent it in for, hopefully, a DLS repair. I must admit, I'm starting to worry it won't be back before July 4th celebrations in the USA.) So, no camera - no pitchas!"I would take better pictures if . . .

Too often, I 'see' a picture and think that it might make a great photo, but I don't even stop to take a single photo. Sometimes I don't stop because of the circumstances of the moment. More often, however, I don't stop because I simply choose to not take the time to stop; taking a picture (or developing my skills to take better pictures) is a lower priority item.
While I would love to take photos like Shay, I'll freely admit that I'm not willing, at this point in my life, to spend the time he obviously does to improve his photographic skills and produce great photos. For me, I've made different choices, and developing better photographic skills is several steps down the ladder of my priorities.
I have little doubt my skills would improve from practice, from the very act of taking more pictures when I think I see a picture worth taking, or even if I don't see a picture worth taking. But, until taking better photos moves up my priority ladder, until I want to take better pictures, until I'm willing to devote the time necessary to improve my skills . . .

kopper"I would take better pictures if I could see more clearly. Specifically, if the 707 could HELP me see more clearly. The swiveling barrel/body is a god-send, but personally, I need more than 2x enlargement for manual focusing - or a much larger LCD.
