I have a shoot next week and my Panasonic HC-VX981 is acting up.

It worked fine a couple days ago, but while shooting some test footage yesterday I noticed the flip-out display is flipped upside down and the menu button is completely missing. I can't access any of the camera controls like white balance, etc.

My test footage comes out right-side-up.

I also noticed that when I rotate the camera 90 degrees to the left or right, the display is right-side-up in vertical mode, but if I hold the camera upside down or right-side-up, the display is still upside down.

I've scoured the internet for how to factory reset the camera or how to fix the issue, but there is remarkably few hits on this issue.

Anyone know how I can fix the flip screen issue or how I can reset the camera without using the menu button on the flip screen?

Thanks,

Ben

This forum for Panasonic fixed-lens compact cameras, not video cameras.

There's nothing in the manual to help you?

If you no longer have the manual can download from Panasonic HERE.

Good Luck
