Off Camera Remote Trigger

Forgive me for, I'm sure, the relatively stupid question, but what are people using for off camera remote triggers whether that's holding a transmitter or one mounted in the hot shoe of your main camera?

I'm trying to incorporate this into my setup but I seem to be hitting a brick wall, everyone seems to talk about pocket wizards being the pinnacle of remote triggering but, here in the UK, I can't seem to get my hands on any and they seem like a dying product in general. I'm also attempting to create a similar setup with a Godox system but I'm getting nowhere with that either, so I have to ask, what is everyone using or does everyone have their old pocket wizards and haven't needed to buy a new one since?

I found this on ebay I shoot Nikon so I don't know how suitable this is for Fuji. There may be others if you search more closely,

I'm using a random remote trigger made in China I found on Amazon called "Vello FreeWave Fusion". It's very simple and reliable to about 120 feet. Ignore any claims that these things can go 500 feet or more because they're lies. I had dreams of triggering a remote camera behind the goal on the other side of the soccer field but they can't reach anywhere near that.

For years I used PocketWizards which are great when you want to remotely control a complicated flash but they're very frustrating to use when you just want a remote trigger. Also Canon has been working hard to prevent PocketWizards from being compatible with their latest cameras.

Ignore any claims that these things can go 500 feet or more because they're lies. I had dreams of triggering a remote camera behind the goal on the other side of the soccer field but they can't reach anywhere near that.

So my solution, which seems to work adequately is the hahnel brand remote trigger. They work well for what I'd need, are quite simple to use and allow burst shooting (albeit a bit jittery when being triggered by the hotshoe of a camera, but flawlessly when triggered by hand)

Just received these and they seem to do 90-95% of what I'd need, so thank you! Haven't done a proper range test yet but the signs are good.

These cheap Vellos do bursts without problems too and they transmit half-presses of the shutter (at least with Canon cameras).

Yeah they sound almost exactly the same as the Hahnels, these have all the same specs you listed including the range. Hahnels are a little bit cheaper and more accessible for me though in the UK.

I've used the Pixel TW-283 remote release with all my cameras, Canon, Fuji and now Sony RX10, just sits in the hot-shoe.
