Need a better camera for shiny still life objects?

Well I got tired of trying to figure it out and putting dents in the wall with my flat head. I went to a camera store today and bought a R7 and will put it behind me. Thanks to everyone for your advice and help.
Let us know how the shots turn out with the new gear.

The exposure times were very long, that's why you are getting blurry photos. Try using "P" mode, and set ISO to Auto for now until you have a better idea of what settings to use.

Here is a link to a few pictures I took yesterday. I can’t upload RAW images to IMGUR?

70mm, f/13, 13/10 sec, iso 100, 2848x 4272, 2.8 MP, 72 dpi, 24bit
100mm, f/2.8, 1/10 sec, iso 100, exp -0.3, 2848 x 4272, 2.5MB, 72 dpi, 24 bit
The shutter speed is probably too low here if not using a tripod. It’s possible even with a tripod to end up with some blur from shutter shock but that’s less of a concern with a tripod as you can typically engage your self timer to reduce mirror influence on the shake and the live view I mentioned would also help.
The other thing I'll say is that even on the (travel) tripod, at ~1/4 to 2 second exposures, I do a two second delay because pushing the button induces some motion in the camera that takes about two seconds to go away. Longer shots are longer and shorter shots are short enough it doesn't move enough to create enough shake.

If you're not on a tripod, this is impressive handholding and then also you should get a tripod first

OK, thank you.

I have been using a tripod but it’s not the most stable and that’s why I’ve been using a 2 second time delay but that might not be enough time. Any suggestions for a more stable full height tripod without spending a lot of $?

The cheap way is a remote trigger. If you're outside or have vibrations, you're out of luck, but none of this is that.

For actual tripods, unfortunately I'm 6'5" and optimized hard around that instead. Feisol CT-3441 with a center column adjustment for travel and some RRS thing I barely use because I travel on airplanes too much.

Budget? Legs only? Head as well? Height needed? What type of head (ball, pan/tilt, fluid filled)? What gear? How will it be used? (Out of a car, studio, day hiking, multi day excursion?
