When I talked to the lady yesterday, she also said it would now be a full refund since it is under warrenty. I'll do an update when the check comes in the mail. I didn't want to mention the full refund yesterday because she originially told me it would be prorated.
 
You had to refax your proof of purchase right? That is after speaking to this lady. My concern is that despite faxing twice, they do not have it in their system.

I lost count on how many times I faxed and mailed my invoice and warrenty card to them.

The lady (Debbie) had me fax it directly to her and she said she'd call when she got it. She did call me back and has put my refund through.

I did fax it to them before (not directly to her) but they said they had no record of it.

That problem needs to be fixed... I think this is a great deal.. but I too would be really gumpy if I had to provide proof more than once. Sony needs to get that act cleaned up right away.

Last update.

Today I received my refund check covering 100% of the purchase
price of the 7D body. I'm glad it's over.
You must be relieved and disillusioned. I feel sympathy for you. This sad episode has changed my opinion of KM and Sony.

I wonder where you will go for your next camera now?

Congratulations, and condolences at the same time. That's sort of how I feel.

My check was also supposed to be cut on the 9th, so maybe it'll get here in a day or two.

I got mine too. 100% refund. Was cut on the 9th received it yesterday. now I have to select a new camera. Am waiting for a detailed review of the Nikon D80.
 
I just received my check today as well. I'm extremely grateful for the 100% refund but am also looking at the D80's direction.
