This is one of the many Highland Games held in the Northwest USA
and British Columbia.

This was about 20 miles from Seattle, a nice day out on a visit to
our daughter last year.

Always plenty of colour and photo ops at these events

I will try again to enter the mini challenge, but will try to read more of the messages, better, OMG I feel very silly, and I am very grateful to Jerry for hosting this challenge and to Jill for trying to contact me after her wonderful honour.

I am not sure what these pink flowers are, but they are very delicate against the dark background, and I thought they were quite beautiful.

You have adorable grandchildren! Unique idea to combine the multiple exposures. The capture of the Rose Bowl parade has some wonderful flow through the photo

Your platter of dainties looks wonderful, food is a hard capture to make it look edible, now I need to get up and start baking, you have motivated me!

Those "Death Caps" look like they are pretty small, it must have been a fairly tight close up, are they just nestled in the hole in a tree. And the spinning flames shows a great deal of detail for how much light must have been emitted. The choices you selected here rather flow one in to the other.

My personal favorite are the garden flowers of your three submissions. You have captured the spirit of both the children and flag bearers for their day in the next two.

Beautiful roses, it looks like you have captured them growing in the garden, and not trimmed for vase.

A wonderful assortment here, I am jealous!!! Did you use the cell phone for the picture, it looks like your camera sitting there. ;-)

I particularly like the texture on these buds, it seems like you can feel them visually without the touch.

The character of the bearded gentleman is quite striking, it would be tempting to crop him out, and give him the entire frame.

You have used strong repetitions in your mini theme. My favorite of yours is your train disappearing into the horizon. I have not seen a display of lighted candles as this, are these on a fence to repeat the pattern of the candles?

The colour of the ivy leaves against the wall is a very wonderful expression of fall. And it is lovely to see all the little house sparrows waiting patiently. The texture of the logs is quite striking, but I think I prefer the randomness of the ivy climbing upward.
