Just wondering if there is such a thing. I bought a used one on fleabay, and it works great. Now I know there isn't a heck of a lot of things one needs to know about tripods, but sometimes you find out later you can do this or that, and you never knew it. There doesn't seem to be one on the web that I can access. I can only imagine it is a sheet or two, but I would like to read it.

Any one have a pdf or some other thought?

I just got the 3001BPro. The instructions are on a six part two-side fold out. About 1/3 of it is in English (most of that is drawings) and the remainder is the same information in other languages.

I would be happy to scan it and send it by email if you want.

Actually, the only thing the 3001BPro does differently than the 3021 (without the 'Pro') besides the 3001 having a lesser max height, is the lateral/horizontal positioning of the center post & I don't think the 3021 (without the 'Pro') has that ability... I don't even remember mine comming with any instructions... Just a sheet with warnings & a 'Thank You' for choosing Manfrotto.... However, the pistolgrip head had rather elaborate 7 frame illustrations on how to mount it to the legs & a camera to Quick Release Plate & then that to the grip....
For the legs, generally:
Don't use below -22f or above 140f degrees,
dry after use in the rain, not suggested for salt water conditions,
do not leave in the sun for extended periods, such as under glass in a car,
clean with mild detergent & soft cloth,
remove camera while transporting,
do not exceed max load spec.,
engage all safety locks & devices when applicable,
do not leave unattended where the general public could be endagered,

regular Lubrication not needed but when required use standard oil or grease & finally,

Should the product become defective, return to authorized Manfrotto service agent..
That's pretty much it...

Ross,
ROFLOL.

If any of you guys go out in -22 f or +140 f weather you'll need to have your head examined - and I don't mean the tripod head. Return to the factory for hot chocholate or ice tea. :o)
All those instructions need to be complete is an OSHA warning.
Too funny,
Dave

Hello, I have a Bogen/Manfrotto 3021 and 3221. Does anyone know what the threading is for at the top of the tripod the "Main Casting Assembly"?

Center bottom of the photo. What is supposed to screw into it?
