How would you change this picture? C&C and post processing suggestions

Nice... the edited version is definitely better than the original... but the dark is dark now.... perhaps selectively lighten some of the shadows.

I tryed too.

Please dont ask me how I did this. I dont have a standard technique. Really. Everytime when I edit 2 times the same photo, it looks different.

I can tell You only that I used Multiple Layers, Local contrast, Levels, (De)saturation, etc.

Its a beautiful photo. I like it.
