For the photographer who wants to shoot a little bit of everything and not have to change lenses, this lens is more than fit for purpose. So as long as its limitations are recognized and understood, it has to be recommended.
Good for: Travel and everyday photography where versatility (especially when it comes to framing) outweighs the need for optimal image quality
Not so good for: Critical work, and close-ups (ie portraits) where this lens is relatively weak.
