Was thinking bout starting to use this for the times when I need to shoot cropped images in my 24MP camera (which results in 10MP images, so something like 3900x2500 pixels) to try to get closer to what I could get with the full resolution (even though I know that doubling this will mean ending up with a 40MP image, not a 20-24MP image).
But if Gigapixel AI can produce results that are worth of printing at say 300 dpi for close up viewing (say between 12-24 inches distance) then I may not be a s concerned about always using a high res 45MP camera, but upscaling still images is still sometihng of new territory for me and I haven't kept up on it too much, but have read that the AI models used today are quite good. (I already own Gigapixel AI as it was part of a promo deal for Black Friday last year).
FWIW Most of what I'd be shooting would be travel photography, although I don't know if this really matters from an upscaling standpoint, but it will include things like architecture and other things with more fine detail/textures.
Thoughts? I would only really be doing 2x scaling on my 10-24MP images.
