You must hold thepower switch lever in the reset position for 5 seconds before the reset takes place.Good suggestion, but before doing that, I would turn the camera
on and
move the power switch lever all the way to the "reset" position to
force
restoration of the factory standard settings. That will set a "known"
starting point.
He meant "press OK".Pam - I don't think I saw anyone address your mention of the image
moving around when zoomed in... be sure you have the IS (image
stabilization) turned on. You'll see the little hand in the EVF if
it is.
Also, someone else mentioned that you won't hear it taking multiple
images. You can hear it if you go into the "mode setup" and
enable sound with the option that looks like a little camera with
"sound lines" coming out of it.
Also, when drive mode is working, while the shutter is held down
you should
see a horizontal progress bar in the right center of the EVF that
grows with each captured shot, along with a vertical bar on the
left side showing how much buffer space is left (sequence mode will
stop when you let go of the shutter or the buffer fills up.).
Press the "info" button by the EVF a few times to make sure you
have a "full display" of all the options in there.
Pam My 1st suggestion is to go into(Camera) menu page 5/5
Go to mode Setup, push Arrow Pad to right, then ok
He meant, press the Arrow Pad towards the right to see the list of choices, OFF, ON, and CUSTOM, then press the Arrow Pad up or down to select OFF. Then to make this choice "stick", you must press the OK button.now you should be at screen 1/3 , You should see all Reset at
top, click arrow to right and turn it off.
Whenever you make a change in a menu setting, you must press the OK button; if you want to finish the menu setting tasks, press the "OK" button repeatedly till the menu no longer is visible.( This way once you
figure out the settings and how they work they won't be reset
everytime the camera shuts off.)
--Then read manual on particular settings. If pre capture is on it
will say Pre with an icon on top of camera in led, also there will
be a continuous icon with a number that corresponds to the FPS
setting.
Hope that helps. Also Use the proper batteries.
