Good morning,

I've recently encountered an issue with a Canon EOS R10 using the Godox XProC TTL Wireless Flash Trigger. When using the camera on autofocus the viewfinder and LCD screens work properly and it is possible to visualize the subject. However when switching to manual focus both viewfinder and LCD screen turn black and it is not possible to visualize the subject and therefore focus.

Anyone has an idea of why this happens and how to use the flash trigger in manual focus mode?

Thank you

Check if your Display Simulation setting (red menu page 9) is set to Exposure or Exposure+DOF. If so, the screen is going to show what the image will look like without flash (which may be a fully black screen if that's what your exposure settings would produce). Changing the setting to Exposure only during DOF will make the viewfinder always display a viewable image, but what you see will no longer match the actual exposure of the final scene, however that's usually what you want when using flash and exposing for the scene with flash and the usual reason for this sort of behavior.
