An issue that, in some rare case, the camera may be frozen when PC controlling software (included in "Hyper Utility　HS-V3") is used, has been resolved.

it may Translate as

"We upped the NR back again at base ISO because of people claiming the camera is noisy" ========= I really don't want the plasticky mess the DPR samples show, 1.11 sorted that nicely !

Also increases the FPS to 8, the effective resolution to 24 mp, bakes bread, and washes windows...

Dang you beat me to it.

Kind of impressive though that they're actually still supporting the dang camera...

Nothing is impossible. I honestly don't know! I thought you were making a joke though since focus improvement was the claim of the last version. Quite definitely no insult intended!

I sort of never really try to judge the effects, I just shove them in figuring it'll improve something...

So long as its not sacrificed accuracy in the process - Olympus and Canon both have fallen into that trap

Strange that there has been two firmware updates for a camera which they are clearing inventory of (end of life) - nice to see that they're finishing it off anyway instead of leaving it full of bugs like Sony, Sigma and even Canon do

Hi, oh no problem at all, I did not take it as offense, just wanted to tell that I thought it's real what in fact could have been a joke

I think this shows that Fuji has great technicians, good and careing people, just the business department, bailing out of the DSLR market, could be improved. Then, on the other hand, there are new rumors going around that Fuji might stay in the bizness - mentioning that their regular camera body circle is three years, and not two - gives us another year of hope - Yippeeeeee

I have the 1.11 one at the moment. Anyway, so if I didn't install the software (I only plug in the S5 to PC via USB and just copy and paste images), so that means I don't really to upgrade to this version?

If you use HU to control your camera you might want it. Otherwise, no you don't need it.

I just upgrade out of habit, also because it's slightly possible there's a hidden improvement not mentioned in the description...
