Faces behind the camera (cont'd)..

Everyone reckons I'm a clown. Really bad when my Scottish brother is around, and we'd rather not talk about my Irish cousin. But when they do visit, I usually end up here: :-(

Ok, sorry to point this out(hope your not easily offended), but
those are some huge feet...
You know what they say about guys with big feet....
They wear big shoes ;)
... and can work as clowns?! LOL
Ray,

Thanks for the trio pic. I don't think a pic of the three of us
even exists. I'll have to do something about that one day when I am
playing with the timer.

Ray, glad you finally showed up. Becuase I've read so many of your posts I was really hoping to see you here. I almost put a note in one of you threads, but then figured it might be too pushy. Nice to see y'all.

Dear all,

MTF Newbie, thoroughly enjoying all the discussions. Awaiting delivery of my A2... Supposed to be tomorrow. Can't wait.

I have been trying to post a picture on here and I wonder if I am doing something wrong. I have a few pictures on my .Mac home page and this is the URL

http://homepage.mac.com/paulcronin/PhotoAlbum2.html

I hope this works. The one with the Tilley hat is me!!

The others are my favourite ladies.

Can't work out how to get the url of just the photo...

Maybe someone can help

Thanks

Paul

Hi All

My goodness! Go away for the weekend and all hell breaks loose!

Great to see all the faces of those whose help and advice have got me creeping up the learning curve.

Hope I'm not too late to join in...

This is the only photo I've got that has me in it.
Couldn't find the original, but you get the idea...

As my wife jokes: "You always dress so co-ordinated - even your forehead has three stripes... "

Thanks Barry, will try that later.

Very quick response too. Recently returned Mac fan. I was forced to use PCs for work for years. Its good to be back. Trying to get back into photography and looking forward to my A2.

I had hoped my .Mac account would do, as everything is just so easy to set up on it.

I suppose even if it doesn't load up automatically it is still just a click through.

Thanks again for your help

Paul
Paul, good to see another MAC person in the MTF.
I don't think you can post directly into the forum from .mac, but
here is a link to a tutorial which I used to start this thread.
John from down under makes it quite easy with his thorough
instruction here:

This is the way I looked last spring.

I prefer threads showing pictures rather than discussions of which camera is better than another, threads about noise are quite boring as well. I've learned to watch for the posters names to get a hint if the thread is worth reading or not. After knowing so many people by name it's interesting to see the faces behind the camera/name.

BTW I'm the big one on the left side.

Hi Horse,

Very nice piece of 'paint art'. Its beautiful IMO.

Cheers!

Trying again,

If this works thanks Barry.....

Let's see now......

Ooops! sorry its so big, the site said if it was too big it would shrink it.

Anyway it worked.

Thanks to everyone for all the threads. Still looking forward to the delivery of my A2.

Then maybe I'll post some more pics.

Barry

I was looking at what to post and before I knew it, the thread had gone off the planet, so I waited for it to stabilise. Haven't had a chance to even read but a few posts.

Cheers

To my surprise I noticed I failed to include my incredibly handsome selfportrait in the original thread.

To make up for it, here it is:

Not exactly Mr Universe, but I am sure if there is some sort of halfblind primitive lifeform on Pluto they might not be too apalled.

See ya,

Almer

Thanks Des

I don't normally try that sort of effect, but thought my niece might prefer it to a 'normal' print on her wall.

It seemed to work quite well with this particular photo and it looks nice 'in the flesh' too.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!
