Thanks edlavallee for this opportunity to host the next challenge.

For this next challenge, I would like to see pictures of tractors. Green, red, orange, blue, white, etc .........

Good luck everyone. I look forward to seeing your pics.

Best regards,
sue anne

Challenge will end, Monday, October 15th. 9PM NYC time.

RULES

The host gives you a topic of interest and you get going. You post an image. The host chooses the winner. The decision of the judge (the Host!) is final. The judge is not eligible. The winner then chooses the next topic, judges the winner and passes on the baton to that person.

Any picture you've taken is eligible regardless of time taken and camera.

You can do all the post processing you want. However, it is most helpful if you list your camera and lens along with your photo. Feel free to comment on other contestant's images. If you want someone to leave you a piece of constructive criticism, put an asterix ( ) next to the title of the image.

Some guidelines

When posting your picture, change the Subject of your post to display your picture title.

Either embed your image in the thread or, if you must, supply a link to it. Keep in mind, however, most people don't want to click to open photos hosted elsewhere (i.e. on your website). Also try and resize your photos prior to posting so they're sized appropriately for viewing without having to scroll ( 800 pixels on the longest side works best.)

And how do you embed a picture? I'm glad you asked:

1. While your photo on Pbase (or any other web site) is open, copy the URL address from the address box on your tool bar, then paste it into your reply thread. Add a .jpg extension to get the photo to show up. Click on preview to make sure it's what you want.

Or

2. Right click on the image in Pbase (or where ever you've hosted it), click on "Properties"... highlight the link with the .jpg extension on it and paste it into your message text.

Provide any additional information you want.

You may enter up to THREE pictures, but they should be within a single post. Please limit the size of your entries to conserve bandwidth. 250K or less works well.

As a show of courtesy, and to save bandwidth, please remove the original post when replying, so you don't bring back any previous photos.

See you in challenge 134 :)

I don't have any pics of tractors...and don't have the time to go and find any.

Good luck with the chalenge...I will keep an eye out from the sidelines.

Don

this might be a very hard subject if you don't have a tractor nearby .

Well if this subject is not a good one, the other idea, hubby had was

'Simple Tools'

Should I change the topic ?

Maybe not that remarkable, but at least these can get us started.

Innards: Hydraulics from a tractor's engine

This one may be slightly off topic, but the crane was attached to a huge tractor below my hotel room in Aspen. If I could have seen ahead about a year to this contest, I might have shot the whole thing, but the crane was the most interesting part for me.

By all means keep your subject...you earned the right to choose it with a great win :)

Most of my pics are of people...and I am really busy with work, school and my little girl...so I don't have time to expand my photo ops.

I will enjoy following the challenge.

Don

Congrats on your great harvest photo.

Considering how many different tractors there are of various sizes & kinds this should be an interesting topic.
This is my first entry and will try and come up with a couple more.

This is a very old tractor and quite cool. It was taken last summer and the tractor is still in running condition and was being used to mow grass here.

We were driving along the highway and saw this guy mowing with this old machine and my friend was so excited she just had to have her picture taken on it. The guy was nice enough to let us pose his tractor.

Thank you Michael for getting the mini going.

The first one looks like parts from a bulldozer
The second one - parts of the tractor - an different view - close view.

The third one, the crane is interesting and would have been neat to see the 'whole' view of what the crane was attached to.

Enjoyed your leading pictures to the 'tractor' picture. :)

A beautiful find.....
Looks like the ole tractor still has some life to it and still being used.

Good pose picture, your friend looks right at home on the Massey Ferguson.
It indeed looks old but kept in fine condition.

Welcome on your first entry in the mini's.

Very nice David Brown cab,
its when the David Browns first started to merge with Case.

(hubbys first tractor was a David Brown (without a Cab) so it was neat to see this)

I will have a temp mini gallery here and be deleted October 18th.

This way, can show hubby (Mark) what is submitted and make his decision easier to pick the winners and HM's.
