>>CTF Challenge #48: A New Point of View<<

In your neck of the woods??

beautiful and sunny here but not too hot.
pity i got to go to work!
It's cold and raining in Atlanta. The weatherman warns that the
rain might be freezing to the tree tops and bridges. Fortunatley I
don't drive on tree tops but I'll be careful on the bridges.
Be careful while swinging tree to tree yodelling too - oh and rug up, loin cloths are passe in the cold....

Yes! I seriously miss our pin-up boy. I thought this topic would be right up his street and looked forward to some very creative and off-the-wall entries.
But it looks like it's not to be.

I know he's around cos he just left a comment on my CSLR challenge entry, which has put a big smile on my face.

Gayle
I've got mine in but we still haven't heard from the true ISOnator.

He's just got to get his piorities right - Challenge first - Family
Second - everything else fourth.

I saw that picture in the CSLR Challenge and it reminded me of one of my very early entries into the ctf challenge. They have the same name. So I just had to add it to the clsr challenge exhibition gallery. Thanks Gayle.

Everyone, now, take a trip to the CSLR Challenge and find Gayle's Oops.

Then go way back to CTF Challenge 11 and find my Oops.

ISOnator - hmmmm, there must be a film title there somewhere. In fact thats a great word Pops. I reckon that could spawn a series of pics.

Yes, no entries from me for the second challenge in a row. This is bad. The subject for this and the last were both up my street as well. Time management is my problem at the moment :-(

Iso, Iso, Iso.....tsk, tsk! We MISS you, so make sure you manage your time better for the next challenge.

Time management....OK, I am good at this. Here's how I do it: Yesterday I got home from work at 5.45pm to find husband busy cooking dinner. I got paints, white paper, set up on the living room floor (2 windows, natural light, DAMN Joe is good to see 2 light sources in that pic!), and snapped about 30 photos from various angles. Took me 10 minutes. After dinner, I edited a few, chose one and uploaded to the challenge. In between I refereed fights, grounded a kid for life and cleaned the kitchen.

Tonight I got home at the same time, same scenario. Vacuumed the house, made a pot of coffee, found a cup and saucer that match (a rarity in this house) and set up a studio in the living room again. Roped husband into pouring coffee for me while the steaks were cooking, snapped 34 pics at varying angles. Took me 10 minutes. Had dinner and edited and uploaded entry. In between I have yelled at kid for coming home late (I coulda sworn I grounded her for life last night), yelled at other kid for not feeding dogs, organised homework, cleaned kitchen and now I gotta go to the supermarket.

See, it's easy! 10 minutes is all ya need.

And thank you, thank you for taking the time to comment on "Oops". I appreciate your acknowledment :-)

Oops, you made more mess than me! Would you believe, I actually got most of that blue paint back into the bottle. Bry asked if she could have it when I'm finished with it and she was watching with disgust as I tipped more than half the blue paint out onto the paper. LOL!
The things we do..........

Or the driver won't stop cos he doesn't see the photo opportunity!

Last week when we were in the Macedon Ranges, we drove past a sign to Hanging Rock (a famous Aussie rock formation). Someone with a sick sense of humour had tied a noose below the sign and placed a rock in it.

And I didn't get a photo!

I need to relate a little story to you about "time management"

About 8 years ago I was putting in roughly 60 hours a week for the company I worked for. They sent me to a time management class, not because I wasn't using my time well but because they sent EVERYBODY to the class.

We had to list everything we had to do and set a priority to each item. Then throw away the stuff that wasn't really important. I did that and ended up with only two items on my list:
1) Everything I do at home
2) Everything I do at work

Item 2 was there only because I had to pay bills, it really wasn't that important to me.

With that obvious grand revelation I made a change in my work habits. I went from 60 hours per week to 40 hours per week overnight. I worked 40 per week until I retired. LOL, the joke was on the company.

As a result I learned two other important things:

1) If you work 60 hours per week you will be given 60 hours of work to do each week.

2) If you can't get everything done in 40 hours you have failed to delegate work properly. My brother ran a company that did almost 200 million in sales each year and he NEVER worked more the 40 hours each week. delegate, delegate delegate. This rule applies to even the boss!

It's all so easy when the picture is painted by someone else :-)

Unfortunately, my star designer and key member of staff is in India. There are several projects on the table. There's nobody to delegate to! Bummer.

But on a plus side, the projects have meant I have had to do my studio out properly and I have got some photographic work out of it. So it's not all bad :-)
