Dropped my camera while out hiking, and didn't notice while out hiking that the top middle dial popped off:

- It's not completely clear to me: Does it just "pop" on? There's no residue on the surface - doesn't seem like glue or anything was used? If it just "pops" on, then I'd have to assume you can also just grab the dial and pull up... but I also have to imagine it's not actually that loosely put on an expensive camera?

- The dial still appears to work as I can (difficult) still grab what's there and spin it, and it adjusts both ways as expected...

- As you can see in the photo, there's impact damage on that corner - everywhere else on that dial area seems fine though. I imagine if the dial is just a pop-on cap, it should fit just fine even if I have to sort of shave away the burrs standing up a bit?

I couldn't really find any references to this replacement part, nor actually find the part outside of AliExpress:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009602823056.html

Anyone know if there's maybe somewhere else I could buy the replacement part? Another thought was 3D printing, but I have nothing to really go off of.

But no point in buying it if it won't go on/if something else is actually broken?

You might find the spare here: https://sony.encompass.com/model/SONILCE7M4

There are also a few links for PDF manuals on the top that might throw some light on how the dial attaches. Maybe looking inside the dial itself might show how it broke or how it attaches to body.
