Any way to save and easily switch between different custom button settings on A7CR?

My problem is this: Sometimes I go out with my A7CR carrying both AF Sony lenses and adapted manual focus lenses. What I'd like to do is have the AF On button do AF On when I have an AF lens attached, and do zoom focus assist when I have a manual lens attached. Initially I thought I could just save one button setting in memory 1 and the other in memory 2, and just switch from one to the other when changing lens, but it appears that custom button settings are not saved. I've done quite a lot of searching but it appears there's no way to do what I want. Or maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks.

Yup. Custom buttons are not saved between mode dial 1 2 3 as a recall. It is annoying. Wish other settings could be saved there.

The only workaround method is to save/restore the entire camera settings to a file on the memory card slot-1.

No there is no way (except load whole settings from sd card).

Thanks both for your replies. I suspected that would be the answer. It’s annoying that Sony doesn’t allow the custom button settings to be saved to the memories so you can switch quickly using the dial.

I struggle myself with custom button settings and not sure if it helps but there is a video by Mark Gale "Register Recall and Modify a Memory Setting on a Sony Alpha Camera". With a touch screen I don't know why we couldn't have unlimited custom buttons.
