Any editing software with cross-file WB adjustment?

Is there any photo editing tool which allows me to transfer the white balance value from an image to another? If so, I would take a photo about a gray or white card and would use it as a fixed WB reference for other photos.

I think in any of them you can set the white balance in an image and make a preset to use on other images or whole folders. Or if working in one folder just copy the image adjustments after setting the white balance in one and paste it to any you want to apply it to.

Make sure you are shooting in the exact same light or the white balance will be wrong,

With Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop or with Lightroom you set the WB for one image then Sync that setting to all the others you select.

I'm sure most other RAW converter/editor programs offer similar capabilities.

With ACDSee or Lr, you could create a preset and apply it at the time of import (or whenever you felt like it)

But it isn't clear to me WHY one would want to do it. It's been my experience that modern cameras do white balance fairly well any more. And those times when the camera is fooled would seem to me to be situations where a standardized response might not be particularly useful.

Plus, most white balance controls allow you to select an area of the image that should pure white or a neutral gray and balance for that.

But it's worth an experiment! To the OP, I'd say give it a try and let us know how this works out for you. I'm not above trying new methods.

Often times I'll shoot a WB patch on a ColorChecker Passport in a given session. In Lightroom I'll then use the WB dropper on the patch to set the WB and then Sync it across all the other photos in said session.

Keep in mind that I shoot exclusively in raw format.
