Thanx. I miss him and his photography.
Seven is a big girl these days.

Best,

from Joseph James and how you have incorporated what you learned into your own photography?
Amazing guy. Very interesting. I have learned a lot from him.

Thanks!
I absolutely love his pictures, every single shot has something magic in

it. Sometimes I think he's not human :-). A must see for family/people photography.

Yes he is. Using at least two different names as I know.
I think he is. Taking a look at his pbase pictures, there are -at least 1- that I've seen not long ago presented and commented in the forums.

BTW, I find him a great photographer; nice photo sets; thanks to the OP for bringing on the interview.

Regards
Too bad he's not on this forum anymore...

I am too. I learned from him how you can utilize OOF to create good pictures. I have never thought of that before I saw his pictures.

Maybe you remember this guy. He's one of my favorite photographers. The things he can do with fast glass is amazing.

Anyways, if you haven't seen his work, or if you have and you want to know more, check out the interview I did with him here: http://www.aputure.com/blog/2010/08/30/shallow-depth-of-field-with-joseph-james/
All humor aside, I just want to make a quick correction to the interview. I do use PP, sometimes heavily, and sometimes I get exactly what I want simply by choosing the desired RAW converter (BreezeBrowser Pro) settings.

It's just that I don't use Photoshop -- my editor is PL32 (PhotoLine 32). Obviously, I recommend it, if anyone wants to take a look, but never having used Photoshop, I can't say how it compares.

I discussed my PP just a little here:

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1032&message=36024653

and, I think, other places in the thread (can't remember, exactly, but I know I discussed it somewhere recently!).

Secondly, I have posted here with other IDs since joe mama, which I have listed here:

http://www.josephjamesphotography.com/dprban/

But this is my only ID.

Anyway, thanks to all who have valued my posts -- I appreciate the kind words!

One for now but you did you use Crocodile Gina a while ago?

BTW why you have to be so creative? Could you just use names like Joey Mama or Joe Papa so there is no confusion? ;-)
Yes he is. Using at least two different names as I know.
What's the other name that you think is me?

Crocodile Gena was one of my longer lasting IDs. See here for a complete history:

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, no? In any case, with the exception of one of my past IDs, they were not created by me, but given to me by a friend.

Still, my personality is such that it does not take long for many to recognize who I am, for better or for worse. And as soon as I post a photo, well, the cat's out of the bag, is it not?

Regardless, I apologize for the confusion it may have caused. But, as you may have guessed, I would have just as soon kept "joe mama". : )

Greetings,

Wasn't this guy permanently banned from DPR? Not sure why, though.
Or maybe he was posting as : bulbmogul. I forget.

Regards.
