Here is two that I made for friends a while back ago...

I noticed on my profile today that I have been on this forum since
Wednesday, May 10, 2000 (1.5 years). Many others have posting here
for quite some time also. It's time to turn things up a notch.
Lets put what we have learned about photography and manipulation to
the test!

The challenge:

RECREATE A MAGAZINE COVER OR ADVERTISEMENT.

There are no rules except one..creativity is king! Put down the
remote control and get behind the camera for the long holiday
weekend!

Almost missed these! What did your friends think of them? Very well done! The photos in the first layout really fit the theme!

Hi Nite, the "Select" ad has a nice clean professional look. If you had to add the type to the coke can you really did an excellent job.

Now; come on, I've been expecting something completely out of the box from you. However, no pressure, I do very much understand time constraints.

Wish I had more time to play around with this idea. This is
something that I created for a friend.

They loved them! They where printed 8x10. The next time I went to their house's I found them framed on the wall.

The first one is of my brother-in-law. He hate's getting his picture taken.

The second one is of a friend of mine at his wedding (obviously). It's me in the upper right corner. He said it was his favorite giift. Maybe it's a suck-up... I'm not sure 100% ???

I'm glad you like them and I'm also glad you made the challenge! I don't usally like to post old work, but I found it really fit here...

I did this last spring, the coach is my son's little league coach. I did this mainly as a learning experience in photoshop - I hadn't done anything with text up to that point. I was very happy with it, and so was coach! We framed it and gave it to him at the end of season party.

Pics taken with my D30, which I obtained right at the beginning of the season.

Great job Bob! Gotta love the DOF control of the D30. What did people do for fun before photoshop?!

I thought it looked pretty dang professional. Everyone that saw it just had this confused look on their face. "How does this magazine know about Mike? I didn't know they were even looking at our team?"

Great cover Bob. That arm of yours looks like you could throw a pretty good fast ball yourself!!

Now this IS GREAT STUFF.
Wish I could find the time to do these stuff!
Keep it coming!
PLEASE!

Figured I'd better throw something in. This stuff's kinda fun,
although somewhat time consuming.
I was gonna put "Free to Shoplifters" by the U.S. and Canadian
prices but neglected to do so when I merged layers for the .jpg.
Still could do it as I have the complete layered
.psd.

Sick! But do it anyways!
David morel

Hey David...nice going. Years and years ago I used to have a comedy
line that made people laugh...a charity called..."Shoes for the
dead" THe shoes for the dead campaign never got off the ground but
this would have been a great poster advertisement for it.LOL
