I didn't know that jumping spiders made webs. I thought they caught their prey by hunting and attacking them.jumping spider rear end making its web.
thanksThats insane, incredible close up well done.
thanks, now i have to decied if i buy 20x objective for my FF. but i think it will be into diffraction territory. I shot this purely to see if i have reached the limits. I will now do some more study to see if i can squeeze anymore resolution.Very cool. Nice job!
got up this morning and the spider had weaved a web, but not as you would imagine. its like a very fine silk matGreat pic, and as you say not seen very often, they tend to use them as anchors/bungee cords while jumping about. Were you holding the other end?
Thanks, a lot of time (hours) waiting for the opportunity to get this shot.Pretty amazing to see and a spectacular job by you. Kudos to you and the spider.

It’s not 30xVery nice picture!
May I ask which 30x and adapter you used?
the image FOV is just over 1mm which would be 30x eq to FF sensor. It’s not 30xVery nice picture!
May I ask which 30x and adapter you used?
its 10x on a smaller sensor camera so they are considering it 30x when it’s not
Sensor size does not alter magnification. So 30x is 30x no matter of sensor size. It’s not 30xVery nice picture!
